Virginia Montessori Academy (VAMA) aims to provide an authentic Montessori experience; inspiring the growth of the whole child by providing a safe, secure and loving environment. Our Program allows for individualized education that builds a love of learning and promotes independence that prepares the child for success in their adult lives. We consider the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development of the whole child by following the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.
To provide an authentic Montessori experience that nurtures the whole child in a safe, secure, and caring environment, fosters a lifelong love of learning, and encourages independence for future success.
To empower children to grow into confident, capable, and compassionate members of society, supported by the strong foundation of an authentic Montessori early education.
Our Montessori-trained teachers* observe carefully and guide each child through meaningful work that builds confidence, concentration, and compassion. Lead teachers all hold Montessori certifications and work alongside you to support your child’s growth.
Inspired by the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori, we provide an individualized program that encourages exploration, promotes independence, instills a love of learning, and prepares your child for success in their adult lives.
We are proud to partner with a team of licensed child therapists and early childhood specialists, enabling us to connect families with trusted professionals who offer counseling, play therapy, and developmental support when needed.
As part of our all-inclusive experience, we provide lunch each day to keep your child energized. Families take turns bringing snacks to share, creating opportunities to bond with your child through shopping, preparing, and participating in the classroom experience.
Year-round gatherings and celebrations, including concerts and Thanksgiving feasts, make you feel part of your child’s school community. We support you with parent education nights and spotlight older students during Montessori Education Week, where you can see what your child is learning.
