About Virginia Montessori Academy in Purcellville
Virginia Montessori Academy is a Montessori preschool and daycare at 130 E Main Street in Purcellville. Children can begin in the infant program and continue through the kindergarten year in Children’s House.
How our guides work with children
Our guides watch what each child is ready to try, present a lesson, and leave room to practice. Young children explore through movement, language and everyday care. In Children’s House, children choose hands-on work in a mixed-age classroom and learn alongside one another.

How we keep families involved
Guides share daily care notes and photos with families in the younger rooms. Children’s House families can follow progress through conferences, reports and portfolios. Our guides also talk with families about a child’s routines and readiness as they grow.
Why families consider our Purcellville school
Families can see a prepared Montessori environment from infancy through kindergarten at one school. Guides introduce hands-on lessons and give children time to practice. The school is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Outdoor time, practical life work and age-appropriate enrichment are part of the school day; the four program pages explain what each age group does.
